Certainly one of the most attractive summer events on the Adriatic Sea. For six days and nights, the carnival literally "rules" in the city justifying every attribute of its name! Ever since the very last year of 1967 at the beginning of August, the inhabitants of Senj and their guests have made this city the center of the summer carnival on the east coast of the Adriatic.

The most attractive day is Saturday, when around three thousand people in a big carnival procession in the streets of the city draw the attention of about 25 thousand spectators.

In addition to groups from Senj, Rijeka and the surrounding area, Zagreb, Dakovo, Garesnica, Gradiska, Jastrebarsko, Sisak, etc., there are also traditional groups from abroad. This carnival is attended by groups from Italy (Fano), Slovenia (Ilirska Bistrica), Austria (Pandorf), Slovakia (Senec), the Czech Republic (Frydek Mystek), Poland (Wielun), Hungary (Kiseg) and Sweden (Samba-Stockholm).
